The National Portrait Gallery DC presents the wonderful diversity of individuals who have left their mark on the United States of America from George Washington, Martin Luther King Jr., Mary Cassatt, George Gershwin, Sequoyah, Rosa Parks to Babe Ruth and Marilyn Monroe. The National Portrait Gallery boasts the only complete collection of presidential portraits outside the White House, and includes the famous “Lansdowne” painting of George Washington.
